Brief Life History (as much or as little as you would like to share):: I was born and raised in Amarillo. I graduated from Amarillo High School in 1999. I was the Texas Female State Champion Wrestler for the 138lb weight in 1999.
I trained in mixed martial arts for 10 years after that. I worked at Potter County as a Corrections officer from December of 2002- December of 2007. I worked at Amarillo Police Department as a field officer for 4 months and decided it wasn’t for me. I continued as a Peace officer in Texas as a reserve Deputy for Castro county for 4 years.
I started a business “The Fudge Lady in Texas” in 2008 and closed it in 2013. It was a really happy time in my life and I enjoyed meeting people and traveling all over the tri-state area.
Your thoughts on what benefits you receive as a Club Member:: As a club member, my only official benefits are the right to vote. But the unofficial benefits have been to meet some of the most amazing people who are so friendly and willing to help me as I tried to become a ham and get going on the air.
The plethora of information and resources that this club has to offer is beyond measure.
The club has lunch in the park every Wednesday and I get to meet up with other hams who are experienced in different areas.
Your thoughts on which direction the Club should go and grow:: I would like to see the club grow more together. I would like to see more interaction with more people and more exchange of skills and just hang out together more in general.
