Call for Operator Volunteers 

When:  May 11, 2019 — approximately 0800 local until 1800 local

Where:  Palo Duro Canyon State Park

If you would like to participate in the upcoming USA Cycling Mountain Bike Marathon event as a communications checkpoint operator for either or both shifts, please email Jamie at PARC@jh14.com.  All amateur radio operators should have a dual band mobile and a dual band HT.  Technician class license also required.  A training meeting will be announced at the April club meeting.   

And, a big THANK YOU to the following stalwart amateur radio operators who were present at the very chilly and windy bike race coms test on Saturday, February 23rd in Palo Duro Canyon:

Maury, W5UGQ, assisted with test preparation by developing a propagation model for the area of Palo Duro Canyon in which the race will be held.  Daniel, KG5KIF, also assisted with equipment preparation but due to work requirements he was not able to attend the live test.
