Members, we’d like you to introduce yourselves with a quick bio – as simple or elaborate as you’d like!  Please fill out this form:  we’d love to meet you :-)!

Name and Call Sign:: Del, AG5QU

Years as Amateur Radio Operator:: Newbie

Areas of Interest (i.e. CW, DX, Packet, etc.):: Interested in public service, emergency response, and DX. But I really have a general desire to learn as much as I can about all aspects of the hobby. I am in the process of learning 20 wpm code, since that is what I would have had to know if I would have received my Extra ticket “back in the day”.

Brief History of Activities Related to Ham Radio:: I’m brand new. I wish I would have started sooner, then I’d be an old-timer by now! But better late than never, I guess!

Other Hobbies or Interests:: Family; travel; wrenching on vehicles; motorcycle riding when time permits.

Brief Life History (as much or as little as you would like to share):: Served in US Marine Corps. Trained in automotive mechanics in my younger days (the days before OBD-II, for those of you who know what I’m talking about). Currently employed on a drill ship in the Gulf of Mexico. One wife, three kids, two dogs, and one mortgage payment!

Your thoughts on what benefits you receive as a Club Member:: The knowledge, experience, and skills of those who came before me.

Your thoughts on which direction the Club should go and grow:: As yet undecided.
